Student Advisement

Planning for Life After Artios

Our Commitment

Every Student Leaves with a Plan

At Artios, a diploma is not the goal — a launched life is. From 9th grade onward, every high school student is paired with an advisor who helps them discern their calling, plan their coursework, and prepare for what comes next.

There is no single path we push students toward. Whether a student is headed to a four-year university, an arts conservatory, a skilled trade, the mission field, or entrepreneurship — we walk with them toward their God-given next step.

Parents are active partners in this process. Advisement conversations are transparent, collaborative, and grounded in Scripture — always asking the question: what has God made this student for?

The Journey

Advisement by Grade

9th Grade

10th Grade

Explore

Students research potential pathways, shadow professionals, and begin conversations about college, career, or ministry direction.

11th Grade

Prepare

Students take the SAT/ACT, refine their transcript, build their portfolio or resume, and visit colleges or programs of interest.

12th Grade

Launch

Students apply to colleges or programs, complete Senior Seminar, and present their Senior Capstone — graduating fully prepared for the next step.

Where Are They Going?

Post-High School Pathways

Artios graduates go on to a wide variety of paths — and we celebrate every one of them. Here are the primary areas our advisors help students explore and prepare for.

🎓

College & University

Most Artios graduates pursue a four-year college or university. Our advisement process helps students identify the right fit — academically, spiritually, and financially — and build a transcript, portfolio, and application that reflect the whole student.

  • Transcript planning for college admission requirements
  • SAT/ACT preparation guidance
  • College essay coaching through Senior Seminar
  • Portfolio development for arts programs
  • Dual enrollment options for early college credit

🔧

Vocational & Trade

Not every calling leads through a four-year degree — and we celebrate that. For students drawn to skilled trades or vocational careers, we help them identify programs, certifications, and apprenticeship paths that align with their gifts.

  • Career aptitude and gifting conversations
  • Connections to vocational certification programs
  • Financial planning and budgeting guidance
  • Internship and apprenticeship exploration

🎭

Arts & Creative Careers

Students in the Conservatory program graduate with a portfolio, a reel, or a performance record — and an advisor who knows their work. We help them navigate arts conservatory applications, audition preparation, and professional pathways in their discipline.

  • Conservatory and arts school applications
  • Audition and portfolio preparation
  • Professional networking introductions
  • Internship and assistant opportunities in the arts

✝️

Ministry & Service

Some students feel called to full-time ministry, mission work, or community service. Artios has deep roots in faith and service, and our advisors help students discern, explore, and prepare for a life of meaningful ministry.

  • Ministry calling discernment conversations
  • Connections to Bible colleges and seminaries
  • Short-term mission trip opportunities
  • Local church and nonprofit internships

💡

Entrepreneurship

For students with an entrepreneurial spirit, we provide the tools and encouragement to start building. From Business 101 on campus to advisor conversations about real-world application, we help young entrepreneurs begin thinking like owners.

  • Business 101 curriculum on campus
  • Mentor connections with local entrepreneurs
  • Business plan guidance through Senior Seminar
  • Financial literacy and stewardship training

🌍

Gap Year & Exploration

Some students need a season to explore, grow, or serve before committing to a path. We help families approach gap years with intention — making sure that time is structured, productive, and spiritually fruitful.

  • Structured gap year planning conversations
  • Mission and service program recommendations
  • Work and internship pathway guidance
  • Re-entry planning for college or career after gap year

Our Goal

"The goal is not simply a diploma. The goal is a graduate who loves God, knows His Word, and is fully equipped for every good work."
