Our Name
The name Artios comes from 2 Timothy 3:16–17, where Scripture says, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,” so that the man of God may be complete, “equipped for every good work.”
In the Greek, the word translated “complete” is Artios. It carries the meaning of being competent, equipped, and thoroughly prepared.
That is why we chose the name Artios.
At Artios, we believe students are not truly equipped by academics alone, by the arts alone, by strong curriculum alone, or even by excellent teachers alone. Those things matter deeply, but they are not the foundation. The foundation is the Word of God.
Scripture is not an addition to education at Artios; it is the lens through which we view all of life, learning, creativity, wisdom, and service. God’s Word reigns supreme and guides our thoughts and actions in every area of life, including education.
Our mission is to partner with parents to raise children who love God, know His Word, and are fully equipped to serve others and reflect Christ in their lives. We want students to learn how to reason, create, discern, discuss, and express truth with hearts rooted in Scripture.
So when we say Artios, we are declaring our prayer and purpose: that every student would be shaped by God’s Word, grounded in biblical truth, and prepared for every good work God has called them to do.
